How to Rebuild Small-Block Ford Engines
Author: Tom Monroe
Published: January 1987 by H.P. Books
Description: If you have a small-block Ford, then you need this book! How to Rebuild Small-Block Ford Engines is a detailed guide that covers the step-by-step rebuilding process of the popular small-block Ford engine. Parts inspection, diagnosis, reconditioning, and assembly are outlined in simple text. Hundreds of photos, charts and diagrams visually walk you through the entire rebuild. You'll be able to completely disassemble your engine, recondition the block and cylinder heads, then reassemble and install the engine in your vehicle! There's even a section on how to perform tune-ups to maximize performance and economy. Sections on parts interchanging will help you identify all parts and determine which ones can and can't be swapped.

This should be on any early Ford Broncos owners shelf.Great parts interchange section with casting numbers to figuring compression ratios with different year heads. My grease stained copy was on the bench the whole time stepping me through putting my 351w together.Good Ford V-8 history and developement section also. It's a keeper.

This book offers many tips and insights that will "fill in the blanks" as a supplement to a standard shop manual. If you are building a small block for the first time ... or need a refresher, this book will save you from making a potentially serious mistake. Excellent reference ... and cheap insurance.
