How do you get that #$@#$@ Fan off of the Water Pump? Bedsides my BFH.....

I went to Napa and rented the special tool for $10.... You need to hold the pully while you turn the big nut on the clutch. The tool has both parts that you need.

36mm thin wrench fits on the fan clutch and then there are several different methods to hold the WP pulley still. You can either use a universal holder, that grabs the WP bolts, or there is a large wrench that somehow fits over the WP pulley bolts (I think it is 54mm or something).

It will be worth it in the end.

I have a fan wrench set. Big monster that fits over the 4 bolt heads on the water pump, another that fits the nut on the clutch. Once you break it loose, it spins right off.
