I think it depends on which ones you use. Some of the aftermarket ones are 4 screws and it is off, and they do NOT have separate backing plates. I just took original ones off of a roadster I amd working on, and it is more of an ordeal. Multiple screws through the fibergalss into rocker panel, inserts, door and striker posts--not a quick conversion. If i was going to do one I was switching around I would go with the one piece repros.
