Lift & Tire/Rim Size

Recently I picked up a solid original 69 Sport, with cut quarters and fender flares. My plan is to add a 2-1/2" suspension lift, flares on the front and new wheels and tires. Would I have any problems and limitations on 17" or 18" rims?

It's not the rim size you really have to worry about...it's the rubber.

You can have 22's as long as you plan on running tires that are no thicker than a #2 pencil. I'm not sure about the max tire size for that lift, but I'd say 31-32's would be enough to keep you out of trouble. So with 18's, your side wall would be 7" or so...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...
