Can I just get the rubber part to replace my originals on my 76 Bronco? I need a quick cheap fix for now.

I have read about the cherokee conversion. If I do that in the future what year models at the salvage yard do I look for?

The arms and blades or just the blades?

What part numbers?

I was hoping to stop at autozone or similar on the way home.

Remove the blades from the wiper arm. Bend up the little tab on one end and slde the rubber out. Take it to the wiper blade section of your local parts store and find one that has the same cross section. Most of them are built the same, just way longer. Buy the shortest set. Remove the rubber from the new set. Cut it to the same length as you old ones and insert into your old blade mount. Then re-install the blade on your existing wiper arm using the outermost groove. (Keep the other groove -the one closer to the blade side- because it allows the blade to slap over at the end of the cycle.)

There is a replacement blade at autozone that I used only the rubber blade insert out of in my stock wiper blade frames. I don't have the # handy, but I think it was the 12" YJ wiper blade IIRC. I can probably get the # tomorrow. They were a few bucks each.

I just replaced mine with a set I bought from advance auto parts here.they are only 13 inches long but thats pretty close to the factory size the rubber and metal frame came togather and look just like factory ones. This may not be the route you want to go but they are a direct replacement with no cutting or anything.
