My '71 has developed a problem when I am turning at slow speed on dry pavement.
Rebuilt manual steering gear box from Tom's, new T style steering linkage, new ball joints and knucklejoints. BFG 33x12.50 tires.
This bronco spends most of its time offroad, but is street ready. Last time I took it to town, I noticed the amount of force it took to manually turn the wheels when stopped on hard pavement had increased to the point of almost binding up. Turning the steering wheel is doable, but more force is required than it used to be.
I had this bronco rebuilt starting in 2003 so all parts are around 5 years old.
Any ideas on where to look first when the machanic starts troubleshooting.
Thanks in advance,
Trapper
