78 or 79 Bronco wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a link to a diagram? I am installing a Centech harness for someone in a 72 bronco that has the tilt column out of a 78 or 79 bronco. I need to figure out what wire does what. The centech has 11 wires and the column has 10 wires. I searched and found info about this column but they only cover 6 wires.

My diagram doesn't actually have a "column connector" diagram, but if you throw me the colors from yours I can probably track at least most of them down.
Oh, there is usually a separate wire (blue one I thnk?) that is for the indicator light in the PRNDL dial. So that could be a separate wire hanging loose.

Let me know.

green-RH rear turn signa/brake lamp
green/white-LH turn indicator lamp + LH front TS lamp
light blue
white/blue-RH turn indicator lamp + RH front TS lamp
bluish gray/red - indicator light
dark blue-turn signal flasher
green/red
orange/purple
yellow /(black??)-LH rear turn signal/brake lamp (but horn is also yellow)
white/red dashes-emergency flasher

also shows red/black coming from brake light switch

Shows differences if you have speed control or not, but no mention of anything different for tilt col. I'm looking at ford factory 1978 truck wiring diagrams.

Gotta go out for dinner, try to look more later.

Lets give it a shot. Sounds like it has no Cruise-Cntrol since none of the colors match that system. Is that correct?
I say probably in the case of a couple of the BLUE colored wires since it doesn't say dark or light in my book.

green - Out to right hand REAR turn signal.
- Left hand turn should be Yellow w/black.

green/white - Out to Left hand FRONT turn signal and indicator.

light blue

white/blue - Out to FRONT right hand turn and indicator.

bluish gray/red - PRNDL indicator light

dark blue - Probably power in to the turn signal switch THROUGH
the turn signal relay from the fuse (blue w/yellow).

green/red - ?

orange/purple - Could it be a faded red and black perhaps?

yellow - probably power to the horn button. I say "probably"
because yellow was only used without a relay.

white/red dashes - Probably power IN to the emergency flasher
switch. Comes from the fuse THROUGH the emergency
flasher relay.

Still searching, but here are a few for now to get you started.
The best way is to use mine as a guideline and test each one with an Ohm-meter to make sure that it corresponds to that function.

(edit) looks like Ox got there first. Way to go.

Green w/red is a common color for Ford, but kind of unusual for the column. Mostly in the engine compartment. Part of the cruise control perhaps?
Maybe some are unused? Not likely, but hey, you never know. Ya know?

Hmmm, OUT to the horn perhaps? Yellow : IN? Green w/red : OUT?

Thanks guys. I will try to get this sorted out tomorrow. Ohm meter in hand. And no this column does not have cruise control.

Found my notes from when I put my 78 col in.

green/white-LH turn indicator lamp + LH front TS lamp
fat lighter blue-input from turn signal flasher
white/blue-RH turn indicator lamp + RH front TS lamp
bluish gray/red - indicator light
large dark blue-horn
green/red-to left hand stop light
orange/blue-to right hand stop light
large yellow-horn
white/red dashes-emergency flasher
Large light green-coming from brake light switch

Also have a pic of my conversion harness for my 70
which shows the colors on the 78/79 connector.

Got it figured out. I will post how the two harnesses hook together.

Here is a late up date on how to hook a 78 tilt auto column to a centech harness. Tech support told me to hook it up like this.

Half moon connector on column should be labeled like this to make this make sense.
Start at top left and label left to right 1-7(number one would be empty)
Bottom label left to right 8-11

The letters are on the Centech harness. Numbers refer back to the half moon connector. You will need to remove the half moon and hook the tilt wiring to the corresponding slots on the centech plug.

D....Horn gray....Didn't use
E....Horn yellow....Didn't use
F....Ind lamp....11
G....Horn coil....10
H....LH turn....8
J....RT turn....9
K....Haz Switch....6 (Don't use if using dash flasher)
L....Turn signal....3
M....Left stop....5
N....Right stop....4
P....Stop SW....2

A little late for the purposes of this thread but I just put a 78-79 tilt column in my '76 and I wanted to expand on Broncomans previous post as it was greatly helpful.

I cut the half moon connector off the tilt column leaving about 12 inches of bare wires sticking out. I cut the half moon connector off of the older 76 column leaving about 6-8 inches on the connector and used this connector. I matched as follows, soldered the wires together and shrink tubed. Here's the wire match for this particular application. I hope it helps.

The left side wire colors were the wires coming out of the tilt column and the right colors went into the connector:
Green/White to Green/White
Green/red to Yellow/Black
Orange/Blue to Green
Green to Red/Black
White/Red to White Red
Blue to Blue
Blue/Red to Blue Red
White/Blue to White/Blue
Thick Blue to Blue/Yellow (Horn)
Yellow to ground (Horn)

What do you need pepe? Are you putting a 79 column into a '70 Bronco?
If so, don't the charts listed above help at all? The colors should be the same for at least 90% of the wires I would think.
If they're different, let us know. If the column is from a Van or something, perhaps it's a bit different from the trucks?

Does anybody has the diagram from a 1979 to 1970 wiring diagram

'78-'79 truck column
blue-red=PRND21 indicator lamp
white-blue=front right turn lamp
orange=rear right turn/stop lamp
green-white=front left turn lamp
thick green=12V from brake light switch
yellow-blue=12V to horn circuit
dark blue=to horn
light blue=12V from turn signal flasher
white-red=12V from hazard flasher
green-red=rear left turn/stop lamp

'70 Bronco column
Blue=12v from turn flasher to turn switch, circuit #44
white-blue=right front turn and indicator lamp, circuit #2
orange-blue=right rear brake and turn lamp, circuit #5
green-white=left front turn and indicator lamp, circuit #3
green-orange=left rear brake and turn lamp, circuit #9
red-black=12v brake switch to turn signal switch, circuit #810
yellow=12v headlight switch to horn switch, circuit #460
blue-yellow=horn switch to horn, circuit #482

Match the functions and you'll be good to go. You can bring the hazard power wire into the column to use that hazard switch if you want.
