How to tune up a 2b stock carb

Does anyone know how to make this think perfect. it idles low. I need to adjust it. any advice

Im assuming that it is a Motorcarft if it is an original 2bbl carb. You need to richen the mixture a bit. Unfortunately, Ford "Fixed" this on the originals and the mixture screws adjust the air, not the fuel ratio. This depends on the model of the Carb, so a model number off the tag would be really helpful. For the time being, reference the attached picture to see which screw to use in adjusting the fast idle. And just remember-even a perfectly tuned carburetor will never be "perfect". It's just a compromise and designed to perform over a broad range of conditions (cold, heat, engine load, dense air, thin air, etc. etc.). Carb's don't have the ability to adjust to these changing conditions like EFI.
