Hey guys! My name is David, and I'm a 4WDaholic:-[ . I've been lurking around in the shadows here for awhile, occasionally lending my opinions(and starting arguments, ;D ). I've always loved the EBs, and finally found one worth purchasing. On to my question(s).......

Okay, maybe this sounds lazy or selfish, but I've been looking for the answer to
this, in previous posts, for about 7 freakin' hours and still haven't found a clear
answer?:? (of course I keep getting sidetracked by other posts):

What exactly do I need to install an electrical speedometer in my truck??
Just a VSS from a fox or cable too or ??
Mounts where speedo cable is now??

I've already pulled out the dash panel and began patching/welding
the stock cut outs closed, to completely redo the dash to my liking.
If she were even close to stock I couldn't do it, but.......

Heres what I have:
-not ecactly a '67 Bronco
-'91 mustang 5.0L HO
-dana 20
-NP 435
-fordfuelinjection.com(ryans) wiring harness and stock GT computer
-stock cable driven speedo and gauge clusterf#$k
Truck was previously owned by rednck21 and PatC before him.
You can still pull it up in the for sale ads if you wanna see all the info.
Nope, can't take the color anymore:-X (<- about to yak),
going all black in and out(maybe LineX).

Heres what I'm adding: All gauges are AutoMeter Cobalt2's
5" in dash tach (elec.)
5" in dash speedo (elec.)
2 1/16" voltmeter (elec.)
2 1/16" fuel press. (elec.)
2 1/16" fuel level 73/10ohm (elec.)
2 1/16" oil press. (mech.)
2 1/16" oil temp. (elec.)
2 1/16" water temp. (mech.)
LED turn signal/hazard indicators(green)
LED brights indicator(blue)
keyed ignition(non original)
various rocker switches(blue-lighted)
 Ooohhh Yeeaaahhh:cool:

Thanks for the help, in advance!!

Well, I don't have an answer for you, but I will say it's about time you quit lurkin' and started asking good questions, like this one! Guaranteed to get the experts all foaming at the mouth to answer!
Hopefully anyway.

I'd say welcome too, but I see that you've already got a few posts under your belt. So you must've had some other good questions too, judging by the fun project you're working on.

I'm sure someone will have the answer for you though. Good luck.

All you need is a VSS sensor you can get one from the auto parts store or BCB sells them. It will go in place of your speedo cable in the transfer case. Ryans harness has the plug that plugs directly into it. But you will have to splice into the positive wire coming out of VSS to get the signal to your speedo. I ended up just cutting the wires into and not running the vss into the computer at all because I kept getting voltage out of the computer without the vss even turning. If you do that you have to ground the neg. wire to the frame and run the postive wire straight to your speedo.
