OK, so why would someone use twin TFIs? is probably the first question you would have.
Simple, using the '94/5 mustang EEC-IV system has the remote TFI module on the fender with the black module and computer controlled dwell. The problem is that the same system uses a shorter distributer without the TFI module on it. Some of us have had issues clearing fuel rails with that distributer. I made a butchered distributer putting the guts of the remote distributer into the tall distributer that just didn't work great. 1500 miles later and the shutter wheel was bouncing off the hall effect switch inside. And custom parts I dislike as they are hard to replace in a hurry.
So the fix take 2;
Used a normal tall pre'93 distributer with the standard grey module on it. Took the pigtail off my self destructed hybrid distributer.
Spliced the single power wire to the power wire on the grey TFI module.
Spliced the 4 grounds on the plug together and to the ground on the TFI.
Spliced the 2 PIP signal wires on the pigtail to the PIP signal on the module.
That was the jumper harness. Now the standard grey plug, tall, fuel rail clearing, parts store available distributer is a plug in to the '94/5 mustang harness with no other mods. The Grey module doesn't really do anything, it is just a conduit for the power and PIP signals. The Black module on the fender still has the duty of talking with the computer and firing the coil.
Probably not the most elegant way of doing it, but it does work when you have the harness done and in and find you can't use the short distributer.
