Need help, loading up and found my resistor is bad. No part number on resistor, does anyone know type, size, part number, replacement item. what auto store might have on? I need this fast as I had planned to head out in the morning for the 4th and do a little wheeling. Will this never end??:?

Leave the resistor out and you double the current load on the coil, points and wiring. You might be able to get another 20K volts out of the coil that way but you don't need it with a stock engine.
