I just got a set of 302 long tube headers. No idea what brand or make all i know is that they came off a ford truck with a 302 in it. What im wondering is if they will bolt up in my 72/73 that is a 3speed. Do you need to undo the clutch linkage to bolt headers on, or should i just sell this pair and get a set of shorty heads and go that route. Any help is really appreciated.

Ford truck has a wider frame then a Bronco. As to if they will fot or not no one can answer, especially with mystery brand/model headers. It might, and I would say you are lucky if they did.

As for what it take to put the headers on, again not knowing anything about them that is an impossible answer. Clutch linkage often has to come off (and go back on again) just to put Bronco specific headers on. So having to pull the linkage to install your mystery headers would not surprise me one bit.

If they came off of a 302, then they'll bolt up to a 302. As for what's needed to install them, it all depends on who manufactured the headers. It's possible that the headers won't fit at all, but it shouldn't take that much work to find out. Yes, some headers (mine) need to have the clutch linkage removed to install them.
