EFI knock sensor?

Can I install maf fuel injection on any small year small block ford?
I thought I recalled reading that the older blocks don't have provision for the knock sensor but now I can't find any info on this.

That is because the ford EFI does not use a knock sensor (certain exceptions do exist, turbo applications, econolines, etc.)

So does that mean I could use MAF injection on say a 289?

Yes. Late model 5.0 system will bolt right up.

289 to 351 and more. MAF is real adaptive. If you want it a little better have it tuned with a custom chip when you are done.

Wow some really good reading at fordfuelinjection.com. Looks like I would have to change the cam to an HO firing order profile.
