This isn't the 80's anymore.
A steering damper should only be used to dampen sudden steering inputs (tire catches a rock type of thing). Many people will say you don't need one, for many that is true. I have had the steering wheel yanked around a few times and a single properly fitted damper works good. There should never be a need for more then one.
That is unless you like neon zig zag stripes in hot neon pink and orange and think cassette tapes are so much better then 8-tracks. In that case you need 20" of lift with ½" of travel and a set of 42" Dick Depeks. Chrome all the springs and fit extra shocks between non-moving suspension components, say the track bar and the frame and another between the track bar and the axle tube, just to dampen the death wobble when the bushings go bad. Be sure to leave the original drum brakes on as well and add 27 chrome gauges all over the place that are not even hooked up.
