Back spacing? 3 1/2"- 3 3/4", for 8" widths. 4 1/2" will really tuck them in there , you'll be decreasing your turning radius. Your front tires will rub on the radius arms sooner.
Why do you want 16" rims.

Might be too much backspacing. My 15" have 3.625 backspacing.

I have 16s now and was planning on keeping the black spoke wheels. I bought 16" tires for them and now I don't like the wheels as much,so I want alloy now.I wish I had done it a different way now and bought 15" rims and tires.

.

I was afraid of that. These are the only rims that I have found that I liked and I have looked at over a 1000 wheels. I want slotted mags, but I have not seen them in 16s.

If you decide to go with 15 inch wheels, this is what they look like

I wish I had gone 15s, but I guess I got the cart before the horse. I just spent $700 on 16" tires. I have always run 16" buckshots and didn't know the wheels would be that hard to find.

I have 1.25 inch all the way around mine. Now that they have been on there a while I don't even realize they are there.

If the wheels don't fit buy a set of spacers with studs! Got a pair for $65 shipped from pirate4x4. I have had absolutely no problems with them.
