Inner Rocker - Salvageable?

Just pulled off my DS rocker (I now know where the ants were coming from) and wondering if the inner rocker is salvageable.

See picture, the only area I would have to replace metal is back by the rear striker post, the rest is surface rust that I can get off.

I suppose that is surface rust where your door post used to be? Your there now to me it looks like floors, rockers, inner rocker and front kick panel. You could patch it in. But that is almost as much work and not as permanent. Trail rig or DD or a shinny pretty one?

Will either be a DD or a shinny pretty one. I already have new rockers and floor pans from Tom's. Have not ordered inner rockers yet, was trying to save alittle $$.

I would say do them... I would hate to figure out that I "should" have done them when it is too late.

Thats a "buy it all" one. IF you going to be replacing stuff anyway, your there do it all. The old steel will thank you for putting it to rest...it looks pretty tired...and you will have some piece of mind.
