Hey all, can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 66-67 striker posts and the 68-77. I have two marked 66-67 and I need them for a 66 but the holes for the striker seem to low and mine were so rusted that I have nothing to compare them to. I believe these were mismarked and would like to modify them to work but not sure how much higher the holes for the striker need to go. Any help would be appreciated thanks.?:?

Its like you've discovered the striker is in a different location and the striker themselves dont interchange as the bolt pattern is different. Its about a 3/4" or so height differance. So at this point not only do you have to move the holes but remave the mountng plate as well. If you've had the striker post for a long time that may have been all that was availible as its only been the last few years that 66/67 post have become availible.

Great, it looks like I'll have to got some strikers so that I know what the dolt pattern is. Thanks that helped, the rest of the post is the same then? I don't have quarter panels on it yet so I can still get at it to modify.:)

I'd have to get you some exact measurements to be sure of the height off a 66/67 striker I could get them in the morning but maybe someone else has them handy. But basically yes the rest of the post is basically the same not exact but close enough. The body line is still the same so its not a issue.
