Can anyone suggest a good book/ reference guide for rebuilding a 289/302? I did one with my uncle once, but that was years ago.
What is the bare minumum cost for a 302 crate engine?

There are a bunch of rebuild books for small block fords or you can get a factory manual for the bronco.

The Monroe book could definitely benefit from some update to better
cover 80's roller cam, 50oz balanace, pedestal rockers, EFI,...
But all that aside it's the greatest reference for rebuilding a 60's/70's
small block Ford. It's the first [and likely only] book you'll need.
