Hi all,

I just got my heads rebuilt, they're beautiful! The questionable part is mounting the rocker arms on these 289 heads. They are adjustable, I'm not sure how tight to crank them down.

I've been told to go from cylinder 1 all the way thru 8. Raise the specific cylinder to TDC, then tighten the nut down until the lifter arm gets "snugger", then turn nut a half turn more.

Does this sound familiar?

How do I know the corresponding cylinder is at TDC? I can't quite remember.

Thanks all for any help!

just remember on a ford cylinders 1,2,3,4 are on P/S of engine from front to back and cylinders 5,6,7,8 are on D/S of engine from front to back.
