I have purchased and/or compared four seals from Advance and Pep Boys and none of them match the pinion seal took out of the Dana 30 in my Bronco. Does anyone have the correct seal number handy? The brake conversion is going faster than the leaking pinion seal!

Thanks

Timken number is #5778
That's probably an industry semi-standard number though, so you should be able to easily cross that over if the parts store carries another brand.

What's different about the seals you got? If any of them are elongated with lots of steel casing around them, maybe the parts person is giving you axle seals instead. And if they give you a number 4250 or 442380, those are wheel bearing seals.

Good luck.
