Well, testing this out, it has been a loooong time since I posted pictures. First of all, I'm NO Nix Trix. These are proof given enough time, even a guy who knows absolutly NOTHING about body work, painting, bondo, or undercoating, can get something to look 1/2 way decent (well I hope anyway). The first picture is in my Garage, the second picture is on the way to final finishing, the third picture is bringing it back from the Paint shop.

Indeed, I want to post more pic's but I'm having issues re saving compressed pictures to follow the guidlines for posting, 184kb. For some reason when I resize they won't save on my comp, keep getting an error message.

Btw, there was a bow in that passenger side outer fender, the bondo you see there was me having to cut the fender, remove material than re weld the seam, bondo and smooth. Something tells me that wasn't exactly the RIGHT way to fix this, but... It um.. worked.

And finally some out of spray booth pictures... Btw. If you hadn't noticed I had sprayed the engine compartment and radiator support a few years ago. The engine, tranny, etc are in the truck, hence the tape off of the engine compartment and the holes in the fire wall. You'll probably notice the passanger vent is pre installed as well.

The bumpers and flairs will be that Gray under the door. I'll post those pictures later in the week. I have not driven this truck in 20 years. It is hard to believe its getting this close.

Edit: The color is Chrysler PT Cruiser "Electric Blue" and the Gray is some Hyundia color that matched (I hope).

What an amazing job. Thanks for posting the great transformation. It makes me excited to get back to body work on my Bronco.

When I get the Old tear down pictures scanned in, I will post up some of the reconstruction we did on the truck. That door hinge plate (the one I have a close up picture of) and the entire inner front clip all the way around are all new pieces. The Passanger Rear inner fender is also new, the driver rear tailgate post new, the outer rear driver fender skin is new (also note I took out the second useless gas filler door and re worked the other door to avoid the fender flair). The inner fenders behind the driver are also all new peices.

Was just suppose to be a "simple" paint job. I didn't know at the time my father was in the beginning stages of Alzheimers. He bought the truck for me, all excited because he knew I wanted one. Dad passed this year in March. In some way, this truck is my way of saying thanks, of course he'd have my hide for it taking this long >grins<.

New pictures coming, actually posted them on another thread, will xfer them here. Picked up the roll bar, dash, door panels, three of the flairs, glove box door and ash tray from the sprayers yesterday. Sort of installed the roll bar, need to have some touch up done on the body, by the sprayer, so I couldn't install it permanently.

Oh, I picked up the Totally Stainless kit for the Bronco, how nice. A kit where everything is labeled, individually wrapped. I can actually start putting things together, look for more pic's soon.

edit: This is a good thing because after 20 years some of the boxes of screws have had their labeling fall off, or weren't labeled well to begin with, this will save a lot of time and aggrivation.

Here are the most recent pic's, more to come. Started working on the dashboard today. Expect to pick up the rest of the parts by the weekend, doors, top, both tail gate and top gate, one flair (respray to fix an issue), both bumpers (re touch up again to fix an issue).

Will work on heater next, get it set in place then put dash in. Pic's soon.

Edit: the first pictures shows a gasket material I used to set the roll bar on, sorta keep it from ratteling.. Second pictures shows the roll bar in place and finally the backside of the glove box door, I taped off both the sticker that came with the truck and the Vin plate before spraying, oh and um.. the hood of my wife's car.

Worked on the dash last night. I sprayed the needles on the instrument cluster with a florescent orange. Couldn't bring myself to do the Alt/Volt meter conversion on the main cluster so I installed a stand alone Volt meter, and of course a tach. Was easy as the vehicle did not come with a radio.

Edit: Also installed the cig lighter, which wasn't standard with this truck either.

The truck body is a Chrysler Electric Blue, was standard on the PT Cruiser GT models a few years back. The Grey is from Hyundia, no clue of its name, I just went through color samples till one worked for me.
