ALL READING THIS POST... Do not use the Bronco Body Stand drawing to go by. It has a couple of mistakes that will screw you up. The end pieces will need to changed to 2x6's and teh rear mounting dimension is not correct. Other than that, you're probably good to go. Thanks to KBUCK1 for bringing it to my attention. If I had it to do over again, I'd just build the rotisserie like the guy built with two engine stands further down this thread. Now that is cool and functional! And you'll have an engine stand when you're done.

Yea, I'm liking it too.. Looks like it would provide a good square base to replace the metal on.. Thanks!!

Looks great for rolling a body around. I have a bunch of 2x4's that I need to use. Thanks for the idea.

KennyB... Great idea! Why can't I think of cool ____ like this? You must be one of those left brainers. How does it handle when you flip the body over? Man that could've saved me a ton of headaches. Good thinking.

I'll be done with my stand tomorrow! If anyone wants this stand and can come get it, you're more than welcome to it.

Here is my best tub dolly. a set of 6" casters on a short length of 4x4s.
Low to the ground for easy mobility.

I have made a few but this one is the simpliest.

Questions

For those of you looking for a cheap way to move your Bronco body around, check out the stand I built a few years ago. All 2x4's, screws, and 4 casters. Hope the diagram can be of use to you. I know I wish someone would've had this when it was time to take my body off. Thanks.

I built this body stand according to the plans only to find that it wasnt correct. Maybe I'm missing something. The overall length of the body mount holes is 90.5 inches and the overall stand is 92 inches. With the 2x4's positioned with the 3.5 inch side up that only leaves 3/4 of an inch from the center of the hole to the edge on each end. I think it should be 94 over all which would leave 1 3/4 inches on each end and the holes would be in the center of each 2x4 and not on the edge. Am I right? Also the
mounting locations for the rear mounts and the ones behind the front seats( the second
set from the rear) are both 26.5 inches apart. The drawing shows the rear 38.5 inches
apart. Am I looking at this wrong? The plans I'm referring to are one the first post of this thread
