here's a pic of the rolling chassis and a few of the body almost on the frame. the weight of the tub still isn't on the frame so the suspension isn't compressed all the way. there's still some notching to do on the trans tunnel before we can set her the rest of the way down.

right now i have 5.5" coils on the front and 4.5" coils on the back. i think i'm going to have to run 3.5" coils on the back to level it but i'll wait until it's fully loaded to make that call. i might end up moving the 4.5" to the front and running shorter coils in the back. the plan is to run 37" tires.

the fullwidth axles moved the tires out quite a bit.

there's some light surface rust but other than that they look good. i'm gonna see how much it costs to get them coated.

Love it when a plan starts coming together. By the time fender flares are on, looks like it'll be legal (depending on local laws).

Let me know, I've got a set as well and would like to keep the heat down...

Could you do a detailed install with pics? That would be a great addition to the community - I'd like to see how they fit to the body compared to the amount of body lift you have.

Body lift amount, Extreme motor mounts, floor pan clearance?

right now i'm in alabama so the laws are pretty lax. in september i report to yakima, washington. i think the tires can stick out as long as you have mudflaps there. hopefully a fellow washingtonian will chime in.

i'm stoked that the project is moving along. it was a bare frame in my garage for a looooong time.

i should be able to accomodate that. i'm using the wildhorses 1" integrated bodylift and i think the extreme motormounts move the engine up about 3/4" but i'm not positive on that. broncodesign is making me a hood so i hope i can run a decent air cleaner to let the 408 breath.

That's great, thanks. I'm going EFI, so I'm probably going to require a hood scoop.

well, i finally brought her home yesterday. when i showed up at jack's place in fayetteville the body was still off. i went ahead and installed the new output shaft on the transfer case while they were getting the tub ready to go back on. jack had a set of his 36" swampers on there to see how they fit. i have a loooot of clearance. right now the back is sitting a couple inches higher than the front so i might have to change those springs out. we'll see, i don't have all the weight on it yet and won't make any decisions until i have it at full weight. i really dislike the dual rate 5.5" springs i have in the front but love the deaver 4.5" i have in the back. i might move the 4.5" springs to the front and get some shorter ones for the back, depending on how it sits later.

anyways, here are a few pics. it was painful putting those beat up old 33's back on but the 37's should be here soon.
