I'm putting my engine together (91-351, bc adapter and mustang upper) and the oil fill is hitting the upper. What are he easiest valve covers to use for this application?

can you swap valve cover sides?

I thought about that but then the fill tube is in the back and behind the throttle body and with it all hooked up I'm not going to like having to use a funnel to pour oil. What did you do.

What covers are you using? I have the bronco script covers are they're fine with the plenum and full rollers.

go to pick and pull or local junkyard and get some Mustang 5.0 low profile value covers that have oil filler tube on passenger side in front. Unless you want fancy ones. 5.0 with efi has pvc on back of lower plenum

I had the same issue with mine, I used the cheap Mr. Gasket "OIL" plug off the shelf at the local parts store. It fits a little tight, hopefully it will loosen up a bit. Sorry about the crappy pic.

My 351 intake does not have a hole in it for the pcv but it is still needed right? It is going to be alright to have it in the valve cover, right? The oil fill tube that is on the efi truck valve covers has a spout coming off of it to go to the Air intake hose i think, is that going to need eliminated? Is the system different for all this on the SD system?

Yes the PCV valve is still needed. Don't get rid of the vent hose either. It needs to go between the MAF and throttle body. If you're using SD it goes between the air filter and throttle body.

The vent allows fresh air into the crankcase and provides a way out for excess blowby that the PCV valve can't handle.
