Changing the latch on door?

On my 68 do I need to take out the door window frame to take the latch out?

I dont think so. Remove the inside door panel and you casn see the inside of the door.

Shouldn't have to with window rolled up.

I don't know if a '68 is set up the same, but in a '75 it's noticeably easier after removing the rear track for the glass.
