After lurking here since January I thought I would become a contributor and become a more active member of this forum. I swear, this Bronco thing has become an addiction.
As a kid growing up in the 1970's I dreamed of owning an Early Bronco. I can't verbalize what exactly the attraction to this truck was. For some reason, it just fit me and my personality. Well, as a culmination of those dreams, my wife bought me a project Bronco for Christmas this year. Just like a little kid rushing to play with his new toys, I took the old horse apart, cataloged and sorted the parts in baggies, and pressure washed the frame, drive train and suspension (despite the sub-zero weather) before New Years Day.
Only then could I see the extent of the work needed to resurrect the Bronc. Having never attempted something like this before, I was more than a little discouraged when I got to this point. But as I began reading more on this forum, hope surfaced. A collective of people with a similar focus (AKA Classic Broncos.com) is an incredible resource. What follows is a log of what I have done so far. I have tried to research each step I have taken so far. But, inevitably newbie inexperience will immediately be apparent to those of you who are more well-seasoned. Please give me your advice. I will try to research each question I ask before doing so. Thanks in advance.
