So my wife went to the casino and won $4600.00 and said you can use some of it to buy a bronco again(Hence the name will be bingo bronco)! Lucky me! A buddy of mine has decided he wants to sell his bronco and I went to take a look at it. It used to be his grandpas that they used on their ranch. Since then my buddy has been slowly putting it back together and has decided that he just doesnt have the time and is going to sell it. It is a 70 bronco, has a 302 with 30,000 miles on it, 3 speed, and rebuilt D20. D44 front with disc brakes all new poly bushings and body mounts, and BB 9" off another bronco he had, both with 411s. Frame has been media blasted and painted, all body panels, doors, hood, tailgate, dash have been media blasted and put in primer. Rebuilt 77 p/s box, duff power brake booster. He has had all the dash bezels rechromed, as well as the door handles, and misc stuff, battery box, hood latch, seat brackets, little things like that powdercoated black. It is all in pieces and needs to be put back together, all the bolts are bagged and labeled. What it needs that I can tell so far is a wire harness, brake lines, and fuel lines. It also comes with 15x10 slot mags. Doors and tailgate are in great shape and the only rust I have found is a spot on the floor right behind the front seats. He is asking 3600, what do you all think?

sound like a good deal to me, that bronco is in much better condition then the one i got for $3000. Plus all the work he put into it.

Looks like a good deal. Mine is in more parts and I have way more money into it. If you think it would be fun to build it up I would go for it.

That is the thing about basket cases they are harder to sell. Given the amount of work that has went into it, I would say it is a good deal but for some reason people put less value on basket cases even though the tear down work has been done and it is a better deal if you plan to rebuild one from the frame up.

It is worth 3k in my opinion, but the reality is being a basket case he will be hard pressed to move it for more than 2k. I bought a basket case for 1k is was not in as good of shape as the one you are looking at, but had it all been together and running, it would have sold for 4 or 5k for sure.

Being that it is a buddy makes it that much more of a sticky situation because you don't want to get into hard-ball negotiations with a buddy. If you think you will finish it then I would say yes it is worth the money. If you think you may not either due to getting board or changing direction then I would say the deal is average. You will have to sit on it for a while until the right buyer comes along.

My plan all along was to find one to rebuild from the frame up, it would be a project that my 14 yr old, and 12 yr old step sons are wanting to help me with so it looks like a good platform for me to start. The 14 yr old is thinking it would be a great first vehicle for him but not if the 12 yr old can help drag it out a few more years! The last one I bought was in more pieces than this one and had no drive train, so I kinda know what I am getting into, of course the wife will have to win some more at the casino to help fund the rest! ;D;D

Awesome, gotta love the ones that you can get the kids involved with you. Great memories you will always treasure and look back on.

I'm sure the wife won't mind another trip to the Casino huh,

WORD of Advice, BUY the Bronco BEFORE her next trip, Just in case she don't win that time, she will change your mind for you, LOL ;)

That's sounds like a good deal to me. Mine has been and is still in more pieces and I gave way more for way less. Add the bonus of your kids helping and I would say that is definitely a BINGO Bronco. Good luck.

I like the K Bar S shock.. That was the first Bronco vendor catalog I ever got. I remember reading through it like a million times, dreaming. I loved how those KbarS Broncos looked. too bad they are gone, but now we have SOOO many more choices, and great vendor support.

IMHO, thats a great deal for you. There is at least a grand tied up in tearing it down, media blasting and primer. Jump on it. I wouldnt haggle too much. Just make sure you get everything and catalog what you're getting, where it is and so on. The only downside is that you wont have the mental frame of reference as to where everythign goes, but I guess thats what CB is here for.

Now, what are you waiting for??? Go buy yourself a project.

I am almost the proud owner of a 70 bronco!!! Waiting on some title issues should be settled today, and then its all about collecting all the pieces and moving them out to the ranch so I can get working on it!

I picked it up last night and now have it sitting in my front yard! Super excited here are some pics for ya all to look at. Rolling it out of my buddys shop for the first time in a year, loading it up. Parked in my front yard, the interior, passenger side floor boards, driver side floor boards and new tailgate!

And last pictures I have for today, more to come tomorrow! Glovebox door with vin tag, speedo, 30,000 original miles, now the grill needs some work, dont know if I am going to look for another one in better condition yet, this one has a lot of bondo on it! and the original radio delete dash in great shape! Let me know what you think. When I get off of work I am going to do through the boxes of stuff he gave me and try and itemize it all. Thanks Matt
