Why do the Aero Fuel Doors have to be Vented as in the tech article ? The factory filler tubes already have a vent/overflow tube attached is that not good enough ? to prevent splash back, to vent vapors from the tank when it is being filled ?

If you modified your fuel doors or fill tube what have you done ? Did it work ? What would you do different or better ?

The fact is the vent you are talking about is a filler vent not a tank vent. The aero caps are not vented. If you want to vent your tank install a T into the smaller filler vent line. then you can install a proper fuel vent in the T. This way you do not have to drill a hole in the aero cap.
