I know. Two posts in one day. I'm needy...
The taillight bucket is brand new. The taillight works, and the blinkers/hazards at all other corners work. The Hazards blink at a normal speed, but when I put on the left hand blinker. It sloooooowwwwws doooown the blink rate. The right side signals blink at the same rate as the hazards when turned on.
I checked at the socket, and I'm getting no voltage when the brake is depressed. So, I cleaned the grounds and moved up to the steering column connector.
I popped that apart and checked for voltage on all the pins. With the brake depressed I get voltage at three pins. That should be correct right? That's as far as I got.
Since I am getting voltage at the column connector but none at the side of the tail light socket powering the filament for the brakes and turn signal, then there must be a break in connection somewhere in the wiring from the turn signal switch back to the taillight bucket. More specifically, the wire running to the rear driver's side turn signal. Right?
Either that or could it be my turn signal switch itself? I'm going to look into it further tomorrow, but I'm hoping my logic on this one is sound.
