Edelbrock 2121 Intake and Throttle Linkage

Does anyone have pics on how they mounted the factory throttle linkage to this manifold? Or if you replaced the throttle linkage with something aftermarket/home made what did you do?

If you have an early set-up, you probably have the little secondary bellcrank mounted on the intake. You can eliminate that and just use the bigger bellcrank thats on the firewall. You'll need the adjustable link that goes directly from the firewall bellcrank to the carb. That's what came on the later models. Check with Toms. They should have one. I like carb linkages more than the cable type. It's just smoother.

This is what I've got. Not crazy about the way it mounts to the manifold. Seems like it could be simplified.

I had the piece shown on Newport with an Edelbrock intake and carb.
Yeah don't laugh it works.

x2 on the BCB cable setup. I had to install a riser for the manifold bracket to get a better angle for the Q-jet linkage. Works great, but does take a little fab work to attach. Best of luck.

Mine's like Bronco Loco and bsquared. Went with the BCB cable setup. Much smoother.

I am using lokars throttle and kickdown cables and jegs billet bracket with dual return springs.

Ended up reusing the factory linkage. I'm going to try it for a bit w the new carb and if it doesn't work well move to the bc setup. Thanks for the suggestions.
