I don't remember off hand what the terminal configuration is at the switch. Maybe one on top and one at each side? Brown wire at top and red and orange wires at sides. If hi/lo is backwards swap red and orange wires.

Red wire goes to one side of resistor coil (spring looking thingy). Both orange wires go to the other side. Other loose orange wire goes to heater motor wire. Motor needs a ground wire from mounting screw to metal cover on back of heater box.

um....

you said "both orange wires" where does the second orange wire come from? all my wiring is "non stock".
is it just 2 wires comming off 1 terminal to other side of resistor and then from there 1 wire to motor?

thanks

Because that spring thingy is a resistor and it gives you a low speed on the fan. Low speed wire sends current through it. High speed wire sends current around it.

That would be a problem. You should add a signature that says "fiberglass body" for when you ask electrical questions.

The ground needs to be at least as heavy as the power wires. Heavier if you have to run it very far.
