Crack in floorboard

I have been removing everything in the dash area for my rewire and dash replacement and I noticed a small gap/crack in the floor panel. It is along the edge of the floor board and part that starts to head towards the back of the dash (I know... I sound like an idiot).

What can I use to fix this?

Thanks

sounds like new floorboard time to me. Is it drivers or pass? I bet it is the drivers side. You could place a sheet metal patch over it but one day it will make a "Look what my PO did" posting. Try to seal out the water and kill as much rust as you can right now. Might try using some 2 part seam sealer to fill / seal the crack.
Good luck

I know i don't love this option but use rust converter first then get some fiberglass matting and fiberglass resin and cut the matting so it overlaps the crack at least 3-4 inches on each side put lots of resin down on the metal then matting and then lots more resin. do the same thing underneath a little overkill but lots of protection and it will seal any water out.

Had the same crack, did the glass repair lasted for six seven years but now it's back with a vengence. The best way is to cut out all the rust and put good metal back in. Depending on where you live that could last 20 years or 3.

Is it cracked because of rust or just cracked at a seam?

Ben,

I will have you take a look at it when we start the rewire...it is a very small crack and I may be over reacting.
