Greaseable and non-greaseable u-joints for stock front axles (dana 44)...anyone got a Napa, Spicer, or other number?

Only one to use for front axles on a D44 is the Spicer 5-760X. This is the u-joint that replaces the 5-297X. Its much stronger and its non greasable. You don't need the grease zerks on a front axle. Thats a weak point and not needed anyway, the caps/seals keep then clean and hold grease well.
This is the larger of the D44 axles. Not sure what you have but thats the # for the larger axle from F150, F250 or big Bronco.

The 5-760X will fit the stock shafts though, right?

You don't happen to know the # for the rear driveshaft lower u-joint too do ya?

Nope. All common parts usually.
And yes, to my knowledge anyway, to use the larger joints in the front axles you have to get the larger axles.
Spicer numbers for all the stock Dana 44 joints are:

Front axles (all 66 to 77 axles) : 5-260x as SpareParts said. 5-260-1x with the lube fitting.
Front and Rear driveshafts at the diff yokes: 5-1200x
Front and Rear driveshafts at the double-cardan (t-case) end: 5-433-1x

U-bolt straps, in case you need them, are 2-94-28x (pair) at both ends.

Hope that helps.
