I drained the fluid from my transfer case to check the level and for contamination. What weight oil is this? I have a 1972 302 3 speed bronco.
Thanks,

the manual calls for straight 30w motor oil. alot of guys use gear oil. I have used both and found it to shift easier with the motor oil, but a good synthetic gear oil would work nicely.

I use 50W vavoline racing oil book calls for 50W SAE or 30W SAE when its really cold out. Many people run regular gear lube without any problems. I'd go with synthetic 75W-90 if I went with regular gear lube
