How difficult is it to remove all of the bezels on the dash and take the dash out for powder coating?

Is there a tech article on this?

Thanks,

Jabo

You will need to fold the windshield down to get to some of the screws. Not that hard to remove. Dealing with the column shifter if you have one is generally the hardest part. Just takes time and patience. I have had mine out twice now. If you have a cage, it will need to come out. Each bezel is unique so you can't put it together wrong. Most people will consider the ignition switch to be the most difficult one.

Removing the cage isn't required in all cases. I've got an old school cage that leaves plenty of room to remove the dash. Down side is it sits way out from it the rest of the time too!

Jabo, mine is torn all apart right now if youd like to come check it out in its removed state. Also would be glad to help out with the R&R on it if you need the help. Stripped a few dashes before, it easy once you know how. SB

wasn't bad pulling it out... you will need to wrestle with it to get it out. There is bolts on the bottom side a well.

I'll lend a hand too. I've removed a few things from the dash, but would be interested to see it all come out. I've got my fingers crossed for a wiring harness for Christmas.

David, Don't call me for help on that one ;D Just kidding, I now call myself "experienced" on wiring having almost finished it myself. Not a pro, just experienced. Be glad to help with yours also. SB
