This is a pretty basic question, but I can't seem to find a solution.

I am looking for the license plate light bulb. It seems to have the same dual contacts as an 1157 but it has the "guides" of an 1156. What am I looking for here?

THere is not much of a problem here just ask to look at their bulbs....
seems like it was NO. 90 .......1141 had a big glass I think ....maybe 89....
Old parts man here but no books at home.....89 or 90 seems like one of those was a 6 volt ....I think 1129 and 1141 are too much candlepower they'll burn up your lens if it's not glass......

I got mine at NAPA , they had to order it took a day or 2.

Same here, after trying all the el crapo shops near my house - kragen, auto zone, pep boys, I called the Napa 14 miles from my house. They ordered it and had it in stock in two days. Tough little bugger to find.....
