Brief Description (optional) Ford made 251 High Country Special Mustangs in 1968. They were a cousin to the more widely known California Special. The HCS was basically a factory appearance package designed to promote sales in the Colorado and surrounding sales districts.

Special features included fiberglass side scoops, fiberglass trunk lid with integral duck tail spoiler, Thunderbird tail lights in a special fiberglass rear panel, black out front grille with factory Lucas fog lights, 1/4 turn twist hood locks, body stripes and special "High Country" decals on the side scoops.
Engine & Drivetrain
Stock 289-2V C-code

Wheels & Tires
Factory "dog dish" hub caps, which are fairly rare today since most owners ditched them long ago for fancier wheels.

Other Notes
Bought from the original owner, who bought it new off a dealer's lot in Golden, CO. Needs a full restoration, but is very original with all of it's "special" parts intact.
