Folks, I scored a replacement steel tub from an arizona early bronco. Good score compared to what I'm working with. I need to pull the original body and have searched the forum and can't find a step by step on what parts need to be pulled etc. Does anyone have a step by step list of what needs to be disconnected or removed. Looks like brake lines from master cylinder, throttle, brake and clutch linkages, hoses and cables for heater, pull the steering column?

Need some help please. Thanks.

Sounds like good list.
I just took mine off a few weeks ago.
This is what I did.
all clutch linkage
radiator
radiator hoses
heater hoses
throttle linkage
fuel line
brake lines
steering shaft from gear box up to wheel
trans shifter
transfer shifter
wiring to rear lights
all body/interior - seats, top, doors, windshield, tail gate
fuel filler hoses
body mount bolts - not too much unbolting on my rusted bolts. More hot wrench

What did I forget to put on here?

Thanks for the reply. Now I have some direction!! Can you cut the body mount bolts with a sawzaw? I don't have access to a torch.

Yes you can cut the body mounts with a sawzaw.. that what I did on a few of them... but on the others, I just used a ratchet and a cheaterpipe.. tighten, tighten, snap!

Drill the heads off the body mount bolts. It is the fastest way I have ever removed a body. Mess with what is left after the body is off.

It works really good. Not my idea. I got it off this site from someone else.

Every time i read the title of this thread, I think:

"Great, one of the Bronco brothers has killed his wife/boss/mother-in-law and is asking advice on how to get rid of the body".

x2 more pics of it please!
I used 1/4" x 2 1/2" angle as you see. And 1/4" x 2" flat stock under the bed lip, like a big long washer.
Used allthread, spacers, and nuts to attach to the A piller. That made it easer to install, as I was doing it by myself.
Did a few test pulls to get the balance point for the cross bar. Then drilled and bolted it.

You can get by with a small sizes but I'm going to use the angle and flat stock for a inside perimeter bed rail for my other truck.
