Cage clamp for upper 3 point seat belt mount?

I am going to mount my upper mount for my 3 point belts so they are adjustable just in case I change seats and they are a different height at some point. I am thinking about using a tube clamp with 6 bolts they are 3/8 thick. I was going to mill a flat spot and drill and tap it and weld a nut to the outside to give myself some extra thread depth. I was thinking about using 7/16-20 for the threads. I saw a picture of something similar on another thread but can't seem to find it.
Anyone out there done something like this?

Here is a pic for reference to the pieces I was thinking of using.

I have not used anything like that, but it looks like a great idea to me.

I did something similar. Mine are a temp solution until I can get my suspension seats and harnesses.

Currently have mine mounted using similar tube clamps. Drilled and tapped for 7/16-20 and using the shoulder bolts from an F150 Cab I scrapped. Was supposed to be temporary until I got a new cage..........%)

JSmall and Slednut10,

Thanks for the replies and the pic's. I appreciate it, I am going to order them up and get them put in.
Its funny how temporary things tend to be more permanent than you expect. Happens to me all the time!

Thanks again!
