who has moved the speedo to the right of the column? wiring question?

have any of you moved the speedo to the right side of the column? I am not worried about the fabrication part of the move but more about the wiring. are the wires long enough or will i have to lengthen all of them?

My ultimate goal is to put 6" component speakers in the outer sides of the dash.

Haven't done it, but I would think the biggest stumbling block would be the speedometer cable.
If you can find some sort of extension for it, then fine, but I doubt it's got near the length required as it stands.

Most of the cluster wires will be long enough if you unwrap them from the harness. With old, stiff wiring it might be easier to just extend them though.

Speedometer cable will have to enter the firewall near the center.

Remember, You can always live in your Bronco, You can never drive your house. Currently Have a 68 Bronco.

I have mine out now. I think the wires would reach and go in the center with the speedo cable.

I was test fitting a few months ago with stock '69 wiring, could have easily moved to the other side of the column with the wires - no problemo.

Most of the wires connected to the speedo come from the other side of the column anyways.
