Question My new clock alarm radio picks up aircraft chatter...

All during the day and at different times, I keep hearing things like "vector 62 you are clear for landing" "roger" . Never done this with any other equipment in the house or radio. I live about 2 miles from the 5k approach to the national airport that is about 15 miles plus away.

The first thing Im thinking is great I just but a big brother radio that was meant for some drug house or big wig mafia member...

Anyone else ever have this happen..?
