Well I figure it's time to start a build thread on my 69 Beonco I've had for about 6 months now. She came to me somewhat torn down but complete. Very little rust mostly the floors. The body is straight solid and UNCUT!!
I've had about 15 Broncos over the years and been a lurker here for at least 10 years.
Here are some pics of how she came home.

So after he came home the usual, tear it apart and see what I got began.

Since the front clip was off I decided to powder coat it before I weld it back in.

With that out of the way I replaced the floors that the PO had replaced with sheet metal? I cut that out and put in new pans I got from Toms.

Cleaned up the engine, put in some new gaskets and found out from the PO that the engine is a Jasper crate engine with about 1500 miles on it! Score!

Started to sandblast the floor area in prep for a bed liner and found the back floor had a surprise for me, so I cut it out and replaced it too.

So my next operation was the bed liner. I tried a DYI kit but wasn't happy with the thickness or durability. It looked great but not for me so blasted it out and off to LineX it went.

I replaced the body mounts and did a 1" BL while I was at it, got the engine running, and started some reassembly. I own a powder coating shop so I went to town.

I'm kinda skipping through this quickly but I know how everyone likes pictures. I've got the bulkhead installed, doors on and test fitting the Bronco Designs half cab I ordered a while back. This is about where I am now. Tomorrow the 2.5" SL from WH is going under the truck so I'll post some pics of that too. My plan is to run a 17" dodge steel wheel with 265x70x17's on them. Hopefully if all goes well the lift and tires will be on before the end of this month.

Oh yeah today was the first time I drove the truck although it was only out of the garage so I could sweep and then drive her back in!!

Looking good. Once you get those Dodge wheels on post a picture (I've thought about going that direction).

Got the back SL done, need to powder coat the front end pieces and then reassemble. It's sitting pretty level and the stats are: new body mounts, one inch body lift, 2.5 WH SL. Tires are stock wheels and tires in this picture. I'll finish the front and then the steel wheels and new tires go on. Hopefully right after Thanksgiving. Pics to follow!

doghows72 - Are the Dodge Steel wheels 17x7" or 8"? Know the Back Spacing?

Looking forward to seeing how they fit on your Bronco. This has been one of my tire/wheel options as well.

They are 17x7. I'm pretty sure they are 3 3/4 BS but I'll measure them to be sure. I had the centers machined out to fit the bronco hub but there is plenty of meat to do it. They fit perfect right now so just got to get the right tire on them.

Finally made some more progress today. Got the half cab fit and mounted. What an awesome piece from bronco designs!
Also got my seats in and mounted. Hopefully I can get tires on it this week as well.
