Quick question. 1973 bronco. What is the canister on the passenger side by the lower firewall floor pan. Has two hoses coming out of it. Maybe something for the heatercore. Reason I ask is the two hoses coming out of it are cutoff and capped. Thank you guys

It's the fuel evaporative system. To keep fumes/fuel smell down.

It is supposed to be connected to the breather up top and to the fuel line towards the fuel tank. If you have an auxiliary fuel tank they generally connect in that area.

Search evap canister or charcoal canister.

What if I’m not running an auxiliary fuel tank?

Yeah like was said you still need it I only referenced the aux tank for the general area as to where the system lines cross over to passengers side and goes up to firewall.

Ford placed these canisters over the yrs in three different areas. Inside panel in front of left rear wheel well the lower right side frame rail and the last 3-4 yrs was on left side firewall.

Don't toss it. It's rare. If you don't want it, sell it.
