I was going to send to paint first, but I'll sell.

I've had a handful of '72 Sport Explorers in the past, but never one in Royal Maroon. According to the Marti Report, FORD only made 71 Sport Explorers in this color, and it's the first one I've ever owned or seen! It's a 72 San Jose DSO, sold in Santa Clara, and was in Cali until a few years ago. Motor turned while loading, but seemed to bind now. Plugs out cylinders soaking. I'm not rushing to start and possibly doing damage.

She's sporting her original paint, and the interior floor section is a 9.5 out of a 10 for original condition! Door posts and strikers are rust free, so are the rockers, doors are nice, front inner fenders have no rust either.

Now for the Mr Hyde side of Dr Jekyll. Looks like it was stored in a carport and the front faced the coast or was uncovered IDK. Needs front fenders and right rear taillight section/rear quarter. It's crazy how nice everything else is. This is an EZ one to restore when so much is so nice.

Includes Marti. No interior, frame vin matches vin sticker and Marti. New glove trim tag was ordered when I ordered the report and should be in soon. Included in sale.

I'll post another round. I wiped the floors and Bronco down. I haven't started to clean engine bay etc. The frame nice. This one will be restored, it has way too much potential.

Wow, what a nice rig. Funny how the pans are spotless and the top and fenders have rust. Like you said there is a story there. That is a great candidate for restoration. Unbelievable price.

What happened to the interior? It should have the Ginger Explorer seats and a matching tan rubber floor. I have a 72 explorer/sport and that is a one year interior color. Bronco Hut has NOS material to match it perfectly. This one is definitely worthy of a restoration.
