Axle Parts

Can anyone tell me what these are for? I took them out of one of the axles and cannot remember where they go. I have the bolts with nuts on them and 2 caps.

Looks like Dana 44 knuckle stops. They thread into the knuckle to keep it from turning farther than it should. These are the stops that can be adjusted to keep the tires from hitting the radius arms.

Is the cap part of that also, interested in what that is.
I have seen the caps on these adjustment bolts but never noticed the set screw. Maybe that was added. Most of the time the caps are long gone.

The nuts are welded to the bolt on mine and a spare one I have. The set screws are to hold it on the bolt. I have 2 caps. One from mine and one from the spare.
These are on my Dana 30 that I just had rebuilt.
Once I was told what they are I knew where to put them back.
So Dana knuckle stops. Not just for the 44.

D44 stops as already stated, middle of pic. I’m tearing my D44 down at the moment.
