Need direction on Reman National carb. Bolted it down hooked up linkage and fuel line. Started right up wide open. Can get it to idle. Disconnected linkage and backed out the idle adjustment screw, still full throttle.
1968 Bronco
289 V8/3 sp manual
Electric choke
Mechanical fuel pump
All vac ports are closed
Any advice will be appreciated.

what rpm do you think its running? if plates are closed you must have an open vacuum source, plug all manifold vacuum ports to test. if not that take the carb off and inspect that the throttle plates are indeed closed with a light. if they removed the butterflys they may not be centered correctly on the shaft btw is there play in the shaft? at that point i would return it. check the gasket that it is correct for your carb/manifold not leaving an open chamber under the throttle plate good luck hope you find it
