Fue filter question

I have a 5.0 EFI. Out of the gas tank I have a small glass fuel filter before the EFI fuel filter. Can I get rid of the little glass one, and run a new solid fuel line direct to the efi filter? Glass one leaks all the time. Thanks all.

Glass fuel filter?

Get rid of it!

Besides that one is leaking, the glass breaks easily which lets gasoline spray near hot things.
They are not a very good filter either.

If you want a clear one to see if there is fuel flowing the cheaper plastic tubes are safer.

Yes you can.

You said you have an EFI filter, so you still have a fuel filter don't you?

To run my EFI I just took the fuel filter assembly off of a truck in the junk yard, it protects the filter and bolts up to the frame just one filter
A glass one underneath does not sound like a good idea.
