Idle speed creeps up

By my ear only, my hot idle speed seems to creep up over time. I adjust it down every 6-9 months. It's not really a big problem of course, but I'm a little curious why it would do that. Any ideas?

I'd assume it's likely a loose screw. Could try just using a bit of bailing wire through the slot (I assume it's a flathead screw?) to keep it from backing out. Or a new spring if you want to do it "right"

You could also stretch the spring a little to give the screw more tension.

Hi, if that is your only problem you are pretty lucky. What do you set it at and where does it go? I think it should stay @ 700 RPM. If the choke hangs up it could cause a high idle. Good luck
