If you can adapt it, I don't see why not, port injection would definatly be a pain without a custom written ECU, but TBI should not be too difficult. You just have to get the timing right, which will be a little bit of trial and error. If it is the old jumper style TBI it should be pretty straight forward.

Howell has been doing it for years. They generally run better then a carb, but the tune is not optomized very well with the 20 questions form of tuning they do.

You can do anyhting with enought time and money.

I think it would be cool to put an oldschool mechanical fuel injection unit off of a 65 Corvette on one.

sure some guys even use the ford tbi setup on the early 80's cars just dont expect it to run as good as it should. Especailly if your 351 has any mods. Usually you need to have the computer reprogramed to get them running as good as it should.
I believe most speed shops sell a 4v to TBI adapter after that you just have to bolt it all in. I've never been to impressed with the TBI setups really they do little more than drip fuel over a venturi and call it injection. better than a carb well I guess in some cases but its by far not the best EFI out there. but it can be done fairly cheap.

Ford Port Fuel EFI might seem expensive if you just go buy everything but I'd watch Craigslist and Ebay for 89-93 Mustang Mass Air Flow EFI parts - and check local Bronco mailing lists for parts that people are selling cheap.

You don't have to buy a $500 RJM/Ryan's harness - you can rework a Mustang EFI donor harness for much less. Mustang HO upper and lower intakes bolt right on - and so do all the sensors.

Best of all - the tune should be close if you are anywhere close to stock - a stock Mustang ECU has been known to run a 347 stroker pretty decently... so the MAF systems can adapt...

I bought a $500 93 T-bird with a good HO motor and swapped the whole thing in the Bronco. Sold the car for scrap metal and still have less than $500in the whole setup even after buying some other necessary parts (fuel pumps/lines/flywheel etc..). It's a lot more work than getting a prefabricated harness and parts but also cheaper and works great. I learned a lot in the process as well.

He's putting it on a 351 lower manifold is different as well as the distributor. Mustang 5.0 stuff will not "bolt up" There are adapters available to mount the Mustang upper to a truck lower.

Other then needing an adaptor and a truck lower, the rest of the mustang EFI manifold stuff will work. When you get the truck lower, get the truck distributor as well. Drop the siginature PIP wheel off the mustang distributor into the truck distributor and you have all the hard parts. Some fuel line here and there, fuel pump, etc. and you have a much more adaptable EFI then the GM based speed density TBI.

The Ford mass air is very tolerant of not being on the right engine. Since it actually measures the amount of air entering the engine and adds fuel based on the amount of air it does a better job of getting the air/fuel correct. The speed density likes being on the correct engine a lot more. It looks at RPM and manifold pressure, Looks at programming for the original engine for how much air is actually entering, then ads fuel to match. That programming is a lot more then just cubic inches, it includes the flow charistics of the heads and cam. Stuff that doesn't carry over from one engine to a completely different engine.
