Hey all,

I just installed Wild Horses shorty ceramic headers on my '76. I'm very happy with them, but I'm having fitment issues for my spark plug wire boots. They're large straight boots and two on each side are touching the header tubes.

What brand and setup do y'all suggest? I'm currently running this setup, this was before I installed the headers:

2rjkTMV

I'd like to keep using the looms, honestly I'd like to keep running the wires. Maybe I can tie the problem ones back far enough to stop contact?

If you have suggestions I'd love to hear them, even if I do end up replacing wires do you have a preference? I assume I'll need 90 degree boots to get the clearance I need.

You could try tying them back but may need to change to 45* wire set. I used a set of Ford Racing 9mm wires that worked out great on my JD Long Tube Headers. I believe part #M-12259-C301. The 9mm maybe a little tight in the wire holders but it works.

I've had good luck with the angled boots - I think they're bout a 45* angle

When you are shopping for those, they are called 135* boots.

Straight boots are called 180* so 45* from that is 135*

I like Taylor 8mm Spiro-Pro wires, very heat resistant insulation - I have seen them laying on headers without being damaged (maybe 15 to 30 minutes).
